Dhamma Bhanu Open House

20th Anniversary Dhamma Bhanu

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the centre’s foundation, the Kyoto meditation centre run by the Japan Vipassana Association (JVA) will hold an Open House on Sunday, June 21 and everyone is warmly invited.

Dhamma Bhanu was founded in 1989 near to the town of Tanba. The centre is located in a quiet environment, surrounded by mountains, and is ideal for meditation.

In recent years twenty 10-day courses for adults are held annually, as well as two children's courses for children between the ages of 8 and 12.

The Open House will present an introduction to Vipassana and the work of the Japan Vipassana Asociation and you will be able to see the facilities of the centre.

There will also be the opportunity to see photos and watch a video of children on a course, as well as listen to a brief history of Vipassana.

For those feeling hungry, a simple vegetarian lunch will be provided.

If you would like to come to the Open House, please contact us and let us know when you plan to arrive. Further information about the centre and the Japan Vipassana Association is available on our web site http://www.jp.dhamma.org/
